These days competitive and recreational golfers alike realize the benefits that physical fitness provides to their game - increased power for longer drives, better body control for more accuracy in both the long and short game, improved muscle endurance for consistency over the back nine, not to mention injury prevention. Unfortunately, many golfers go about their fitness routine with old school strength training exercises that may be hurting their swing more than helping it, or they may jump into golf specific power exercises before they are ready.
