So everyone wants to lose weight. Well that’s all well & good but one has to be careful. If you are someone who gets caught up in the latest diet fad you will more than likely initially lose a few pounds but then once you are off your “diet” you will gain it all back & possibly more. Now I have never been one to follow any crazy diets but I have watched my mother try many different ones & never have any success.
1. Familiarize yourself with what you are eating. You are what you eat! Take time to learn where your food comes from. Buy foods that are locally grown, organic, and not GMO.
2. Slow Down. It takes approximately 20 minutes your body to realize what it consumed; eating more slowly will allow you to eat less over all. People also derive sensory satisfaction from food, so taking time to chew, smell, and appreciate what you eat will enhance the satisfaction you derive from each bite.
