Osteoporosis: How strong are your bones

Osteoporosis is a skeletal disease characterized by low bone mass and a deterioration of the bone tissue.  This leads to enhanced bone fragility & an increase susceptibility of bone fractures.  The National Osteoporosis Foundation (NOF.org) predicts that 44 million Americans are at risk for osteoporosis (55% over the age of 50).  10 million Americans over the age of 50 have osteoporosis (200 million women worldwide) and nearly 34 million have osteopenia, 2 million are men.
