Most people can point to a part of their body they would rather have a little less fat in - stomach, the back of their arms, hips, butt, etc. Actually I think it’s safe to say just about everyone feels this way. It would seem to make sense that working out that particular part of the body will reduce fat there, right? If I do endless sit-ups, it’ll get rid of my tummy fat, right? Nope. They call this the “spot reduction myth.” The reality is, when you burn calories, your body will choose which fat stores it uses, independent of what part of the body is working.
